[The feed shows that China is inside the house he's chosen to live in. It's still pretty empty, save for a pot that's boiling in the fireplace, cooking some soup. China is sitting cross legged on the floor near a table, where there's a cup of green tea and a plate with of some type of meat on it. There's a pair of chopsticks lying near the bowl

Not only that, but Japan was acting slightly uneasy when we last spoke to one another. Then when I asked him if he knew what that strange mushroom shaped cloud was, he told me to ask you about it "if" you were able to reply, that is.

Oh... well. Yeah. To everything. It's a lot to explain and I'm not really sure where to start or what to say, or how much should be public knowledge.

[China wouldn't be surprised if he had.]
I guess I can't force you to tell me if you don't want to, but I will ask you this. In your time, have you seen any evidence of the things Japan has done to my country in my time?
[If this had been any other time that was not during the WWII era, China would not be as hostile to Japan.]

Ah, well... yeah. Sorta. By the time I got there, stuff had been going on between you two for a while. That was a long time ago for me, though. War's long over.

For you, but the war is still going on for me. What applies to you in your time doesn't apply to me... at least not yet.
[He'll acknowledge that it'll apply to him at some point, but right now it doesn't.]

Right... well, all I really know is that things are bad for a while. Occupation, bodies piling up, the usual things you'd see in war. Only Japan somehow manages to do it worse. Well, worse than usual. Things were pretty fucked up in Europe too.
[ so comforting. ]

The bodies are already piling up in my country. I already know of the destruction that Japan brings.
[About five minutes later another text comes in.]
What is taking you so long? Why won't you come?

It's not that easy. Most of my people didn't wanna get in another Great War. I guess... I didn't really either. I was sick from the Depression and I thought, you know, people could handle everything and I'd just send food and aid to England and whoever else needed it.
Heroes aren't what people want. It's what they need. At that time, I wasn't in any shape to go marching off to other countries again, and no one needed another nation throwing people into the meat grinder like Russia was. Hell, I wasn't ready when I did start. Most of my early days in the Pacific was just screaming "OH FUCK" while Japan came after me. Don't tell him I said that.
But I will be there. I promise.
...Besides, when have you ever known me to be punctual?
[ It's a sad attempt at a joke but IT'S TRUE. Always late to wars. ]

No one wants to get into another Great War, me included. I won't tell a soul, I give you my word.

Do you realize just how fortunate you are? Your location? Your resources? You have two large oceans separating you and the rest of the Americas from the world. The rest of us are all right next to each other, so when war starts there, it's bound to spread quickly. Most of us don't have the same luxury of being neutral.
