OMG… I’m so old. Okay anyway, my birthday was on Saturday, and thus, I am now officially 24 years old. I don’t feel 24… like, as always, it’s just a number, like when I turned 23 or 22 or whatever. Except, 24… is pretty old. And I’m in my last term of university, so… yeah. I’m just here, blogging, listening to music, on msn, and otherwise playing poker or videogames and watching anime. I’m not ready for a job or real responsibilities yet.
Like, I used to be in co-op, but then I didn’t have enough time, for free time; for just relaxing with the family, or with friends playing games. And I needed to relax, because I was still a kid… anyway, it’s been a long time since I’ve been in co-op, or had any real job, so I started feeling like a little kid again, carefree, no worries, necessities paid for, etc, everything all good.
I still don’t have a girlfriend :( But that doesn’t really worry me too much… well, if I’m not going to be working, and if I’m not going to be in school, where would I go to meet girls? So I dunno, that’s kinda weird. So like, wow, 24, that’s old, people get married at this age or a few years later, and I’m just here, roaming around, single… still…
Anyway, enough about being old.
Let’s see… what to talk about…
Food… I love chicken wings. We’ve been eating a lot of chicken wings lately… anyway, still on the topic of food… well, we don’t cook. That’s another way I’m still young, in the sense that… well, we don’t cook. Everyone else we know, well, most of them, they cook, save money, have real good food at home… I should learn to cook…
So I mentioned the other time that I play poker… anyway, that one week was pretty awesome, winning lots of money online and offline, the next week however was pretty horrible, losing a lot in both places. Now I’m back to playing the $1 games online, and slowly building back my empire.

Anyway, the other day, at home, in Mississauga… well, the big thing nowadays is people getting illegal movies for us, so long story short, we obtained from one of my dad’s coworkers, Ong-Bak, on DVD.
I’m not sure if it was the same as in the theatres, with the subtitles and non-English language, but… I didn’t like it too much. It felt a bit… contrived, that’s the word that Wen might use to describe something, hehe. Like, the big thing was that all the stunts are real, with no wires or stunt doubles… it looked like the movie was based on individual scenes, where the dude would purposely show off and show everyone “I can do this stunt without wires”.
For example, at one point he’s running through an alley way, being chased, and all along the way there will be people holding boxes or something, and there will be these obscure obstacles, like a small loop he has to “jump through without wires”, and these two vertical panes of glass with a thin vertical gap in the middle which he has to “flip through without wires”, and this frying pan and table which he has to “jump and roll over without wires”… it’s so… weird.
And every now and then he would jump and hit or kick his opponent, and then they’ll do it again in slow motion in the same angle, to emphasize that he did it “without wires”. So I felt the story wasn’t so good, the acting wasn’t great, the cast wasn’t too memorable (it wasn’t hoorrrrrible), and…. Yeah, everything felt like it was set so he can show the audience “wow, I’m cool, I don’t need to use special effects to do this stunt.” That’s what I felt.
Other than that, it was an okay movie… everyone keeps saying it was so good, but the other day at my birthday dinner I heard someone agree with me, so I’m not alone… oh yeah, my birthday dinner on Friday, that was pretty good. Then Saturday I went home to ‘sauga to spend my birthday with the family, with a cake too. I chose it, but it turns out I chose a crappy cake. It looked nice (and messy) on the outside, $22.99, La Rocca, Chocolate Chip Banana something… so there’s chocolate icing and all that, but the inside of the cake is… just… like… banana bread. It’s exactly like banana bread, but in layers, with 3mm of icing in between layers. What a bad cake. Healthiest chocolate cake I’ve ever eaten, haha.
///shots////
Oh yeah, lastly, I should post a bit about shots, since LJ people would know more about this stuff than my group of people on blogspot. The other day, on Wednesday, I went out to Karaoke with a bunch of buddies, and to celebrate my birthday week, they bought me some shots of… Sunbooka… or whatever it is, and they gave me 2, since it was my birthday.
They told me to drink it fast, and so I did. The 2nd one I also did, a while later, but with the lemon thing afterwards. Anyway… maybe I don’t see the addiction, nor do I see the… scariness or whatever. With this Sunbooka, I don’t think I need the salt, and the lime, and that long procedure. To me, it’s like, a citrus fruit drink, with the strongest after taste ever.
After 2 shots, I did feel a bit… woozy, but not too bad really. It was a fun experience, but it was way too expensive (but they bought it for me, so I didn’t have to pay). Anyway, that was interesting. So long story short, I haven’t gotten drunk yet. Who wants to be in charge of getting me drunk for the first time? ;)
Anyways… how should I end this entry? Hmm… maybe I should go downstairs and
