We need to remember the gospel every day because we forget the gospel every day.
-Martin Luther
Really enjoyed yesterday's sermon from
Exodus 12, mapping the importance of the Passover meal, the Lord's Supper, sacraments, and remembering the gospel. God knows our forgetfulness, our weaknesses and and our need of Him in tangible ways. While churches vary on beliefs and particulars regarding the sacraments, they seem all the more important in an age when we have the illusion of being able to tackle any problem and the luxury of a staggering array of choices to engage or avoid God and His people.
The sermon is in two parts (one delivered in the usual sermon time, and the rest just before we celebrated communion) and worth a listen.
