I love the perspective. AS someone who has developed unhealthy ways of coping, it's nice to see even a fictional person develop a way to deal with things that isn't necessarily healthy, but isn't necessarily wrong

I can't tell if this is non-fiction or not! It's extremely well-written (and really fits the prompt), but a 2-bedroom house does not seem like the size of place that would have a backyard able to accomodate a horse!
He’s not my forever horse, Felt a little pang at that, but a "forever" horse takes a lot more resources and space than a dog or cat, and that isn't guaranteed.
He's doing a great job now, and finding what works for coping is what matters-- no matter how unusual the solution.
