Had a pretty mellow weekend. Mostly stayed in bed and was sick on Saturday. Watched Law and Order: SVU, and then watched a lot of Dr. Who that Cris had DVR'd for me a few weeks ago. I really like the current Dr., and I'm glad he's going to be staying on as a writer after he leaves. Andy came over on Saturday and returned my tower to me, which apparently had Highlandered his computer when he was trying to fix it (as in my tower started working finally and moments later his died. Personally I think my tower took the workiness of his computer into itself...) It was also confirmed that my microwave/stove hood cannot in fact just be attached to the wall, it also needs to be attached to a shelf or cabinet of some sort. Problem is there really isn't a lot of room in the kitchen for cabinets. *sigh* I wish I could call one of those Home and Garden Network shows that does restorations and decorating and ask them to fix my house.

Sunday I took the muppy to the dog park to try and wear her out some. I swear to all that's holy that fresh snow is bulldogge crack. She gets one snootfull of fresh powder and it's like someone has wound her up almost to the breaking point. We were having a good (if extremely cold) time until some asshole couple brought their dog which immediately attacked her, and then kept attacking her every time she circled near. I finally caught her and got her leash on, at which point this dog attacked another dog. And then another one. Really, if your dog is dog-aggressive, then maybe you shouldn't bring them to an off-leash dog park when you know other dogs are going to be there and then let them run around! About 6 other people left at the same time I did because of this dog. Mpph!

Went and had breakfast with Reu and Andy, then Andy came with me and helped me get a lot of stuff out of the storage unit. We were both marveling at the amazingly cube-like capacity of his Scion for holding cube-like items. And the fact that we got my dining room table into the back of my car.

Got home, relaxed for a bit watching more Dr. Who, then went to Late Bar with Traveler Sixty-Eight and Ninja for Dave Shock's Double Feature movie and pizza night. They were showing Escape From New York (the Warrior's comments were rife) and then we left half-way through RoboCop. Still not sure what the theme was, but it's a good time. I still say it should have been RoboCop and RoboVampire....

My doctor's appointment went well this morning. Dr. Canaday is pretty happy with how everything has healed. He says that the fracture has healed to the point where you almost can't see where the break was. He even took me into the little computer alcove and brought up my x-rays and pointed out where everything was and explained why each of the screws were the type and placement that they were. It was interesting, and he said he had no problems detailing all of this for me because he said that I had a higher level of anatomical knowledge than most of his patients. He thinks that the pain that I'm experiencing is neurothesis (I think that's what he said, I can't find the term in Wiki or WebMD, so I probably misheard) and prescribed an extremely low dose of amytriptaline. The last time I was on amytrip it sucked. I turned into a zombie *and* a raging bitch, all at the same time. I said this to him, and he said that the dose he prescribed me was low enough that it shouldn't have the same effect, but if it did that I should just throw the bottle out after two weeks. So we'll see how this goes.
