Ren Fair Annoyance
My 17 year old cousin is on a fieldtrip today with his history class. They have gone to the Carolina Renaissance Faire. *facepalm* What exactly are they supposed to learn there? Juggling? Bawdy songs? How to bilk customers out of a lot of money?
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a Renfaire. I wish I had the cash to go this fall. But taking kids to a Renfaire to learn about medieval history is like taking them to a McDonalds to learn about nutrition.
