I know this isn't done in HH much, but for the purposes of figuring my pup out: reverse relationship meme goes here.
Comment here with your pups (list them, too, 'cause I can never remember everyone's character lists), and if Jaime's met them in Hogwarts Hocus, I'll try to respond with his impressions of your pups so far.

And getting the socking out of the way: )
Anyway. Yeah, Jaime adores Lola, and not just as a girlfriend. Her reaction when he told her about the scarab really cinched that. The ONLY other people who didn't freak or look scared when they found out were his two best friends in the whole world - and they're from a world where superheroes and metas are commonplace.
Also, what she was able to sense about the scarab - that was something he really, really needed to hear. At the point in canon I pulled him out of, he's just found out where the scarab came from, and he's afraid of what it means for him as a person. He wants to keep the scarab separate from him, but part of him doubts that they're as different as he hopes - there has to be a reason it chose him, something bad about him that made it "work" for him where it didn't for the second Beetle. So having Lola confirm that separation between them helped to ease his doubts quite a bit. Not to mention that it came off as Undecided instead of Crazy Evil, which was a surprise.
He's still not keen on actually showing her the armor, though. Part of it is the thinking that things are going so well that it might throw a wrench into that. Another part of it is how she'll react - he doesn't expect her to run or get freaked out the way his mom initially did. But he doesn't want to worry her, and aside from being creepy, it looks really painful when the armor comes out and when he turns it off - hey, it comes out of his spine. It doesn't hurt now, but it looks like it does, and he's pretty sure THAT will bother her. Jaime doesn't really know how the scarab changes him on a physical level, so while he doesn't feel pain, he doesn't know if it isn't hurting him. Doesn't mean he won't show her if she presses the issue, though.
Brice is getting nowhere near as long of an essay, since Jaime doesn't know him that well and I should really go run errands soon but Jaime thinks he's pretty cool. And still appreciates the save in COMC, and that Brice didn't press about the one-siding. He'd laugh his head off if he heard Brice's nickname for Maia, really.
Both: Jaime has grasped the concept of them being angels, but he hasn't really stopped to consider what that means on a deeper level. His family's definitely Catholic, but canon has yet to be clear on how devout they are (if it ever will). It's also one of the ways he copes with the constant weird that is his life, by trying not to overthink it. He'd probably drive himself crazy or be a lot more emo, and I'd have put the book down a while ago.
...wow, that was a novel. I need to go mow the lawn already. XD

Jaime is very different from her last boyfriend, in many ways. The main one being that he's not an angel. This will cause Lola to be very protective of him, because although she knows about the scarab and the superhero thing, it hasn't really registered that he presumably can take care of himself. He is human, and he is Jaime, thus, he must be protected at all costs. So there.
Not sure on how Lola's gonna react to the armor, if/when that comes up. She doesn't freak easily, as you may have figured out by now, but if he looks in pain then yeah, she's going to fuss over him. She won't force him into anything, though. If he wants to show her, that's fine, and if he doesn't she can deal with that, too. After all, she has the whole 'beautiful, glowing angelic being with halo and wings' deal that's sort of an armor, too, that she doesn't really show a lot of people... Though she would show Jaime, if he asked.
Sooo, I'm not going to turn this into a really, really long comment, because it's like three in the morning and sleep is a Good Thing. XD I'll just make a note of letting Brice refer to Maia as 'Diet Coke' around Jaime one of these days, express my (and Lola's) deepest adoration for the awesome that is Jaime Reyes, and then go to bed. Yes.

The armor is going to come up, definitely. Not sure how or when. I'm trying to ignore the creativity demons who want it to get stuck so he can't shut it down. Even though they say if it happens on Halloween he won't have to lock himself in his room. *sigh* Maia already brought it out partially, so if she tries to start something... I don't know. He's not going to bring it out unless there's some actual danger. He'd have to know to ask about Lola's, and even then there would need to be a reason.
And I hope you did go to bed two hours ago, because it's probably 5 am your time now. Jaime is awesome, which is why I'm doing this meme so I can try to get his voice down properly. Sleep well! :)

We do have plans for Maia managing to hurt Brice, and he'll end up in the Hospital Wing. I'm thinking sting from OMG NOEZ TEH EVUL SCORPIONS. But that's a bit into the future. Jaime will more than likely hear about it from a fretting Lola, when it happens. =)
Lola is not keen on bringing out the angel version of herself unless there's a real need for it. Like for an example in a fight, or if she gets really angry. Hmm... Yes, this shall definitely have to be pondered. Wheee plottings!
And I did go to bed, and I slept very well, thank you. XD
