I guess wizarding school finally came in handy

When I decided that the magical world wasn't going to give me what I needed and went to study architecture, I kind of started feeling that going to Durmstrang was a waste. Not only did it make it a pain in the ass to get accepted into university, but I felt way behind everyone else. "Why didn't I just go to a regular high school" is a thought I've had more than a few times.

And then I had to fight werewolves to save my kidnapped boyfriend.

I knew I caught my family's getting-into-trouble bug but I always figured it was something that'd mostly play out when I was together with Rai and we were hanging out with the rougher crowd in town, but no - apparently Larry's got more excitement to him than Quidditch-inflicted injuries.

So, thanks for that, Durmstrang. Glad I elected to specialize in Creature Control in my last two years. Seems like it saved my life. Maybe Larry's. I'm grateful for that.

Now I just have a ton of work to make up for school, a ton of apologies to give to all the people I lied to by pretending everything was fine, and a traumatized boyfriend to help recover.

...I was more comfortable fighting the werewolves, honestly.
