T typically isn't a big fan of the roasts but I'd like to try my unskilled hands at one.
What recommendations do you ladies have? where  and what type to buy? cookware needed?  and recipes?
An acquaintance cooked one while I was over once - a Pot roast - it was soooo juicy and flavorful sooooooo goooooood.

i make potroast in the crockpot all the time. i just pick out the best looking hunk of beef at the supermarket, one it is usually kind of triangular in shape and has a thin fat layer on the bottom side. i sprinkle with garlic/salt/petter and then brown all sides in a skillet really quick and then put it into the crockpot. also going on in: one can of beef broth, garlic, onion, salt, pepper etc. put it on low and let it sit there all day. a huge piece definitely needs 8 hours to really fall apart. when it's got like 4 hours to go i add in the potatoes(salt & peppered) and carrots and put the lid back on it. if you do the veggies from the begining they have a tendancy to disnetegrate.

you can add spices as you like and try out different things.
