Thank God for that.
I've been so frustrated lately. I've been waiting to hear about my course and when it starts. I'm doing a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Studies (Hearing Impaired) this year and I've been getting all these forms from Melbourne (its through the University of Melbourne) telling me they recieved my enrolment and this is my confirmation and this is what I need to pay and blahdey blah blah... but nothing from the Perth branch to say WHEN it starts or WHERE I need to go.
I kept ringing this guy Brett to ask him, but he never answered. He never answered his email either. He was the one who gave me the application forms in the first place. So I decided to look up his name on the internet and his phone number was gone. It used to be there. So I looked up the place he worked at and rang them instead and asked for him. They told me he'd resigned in November and there was nobody in his place yet, but they had a in-between guy called John who told me all I needed to know. FINALLY!!!!
So I am starting next Monday!!!!!! :O 27th Feb I start. I have weekly Auslan classes every Monday for 3 hours now. Right up until May 22nd. Then the other classes I have are all intensive blocks... like a couple of days at a time of full on work. Theres a weekend one in March and two 5-day ones in April and then a Prac somewhere in amongst all that. It looks like I'll have a lot of free time, but there will be lots of assignments to fill the time etc. So I'll do relief on the days off and have the weekends to myself. Woohoo!! I like this organisation.
They have to do it like that because they have to fly the lecturers over from Melbourne. So they have to do the entire unit in like 5 days or so. Tiring work! I'll need lots of water and excercise over that time. (I would have said coffee and coke before but I'm trying to be healthy again!).
Now I've gotta look up how I can get into doing relief!! YAY! :D
