Weekend

Well the weekend was pretty good. We headed up to Perth for the long weekend, since Chris miraculously had Saturday off work. So Saturday morning we got up and hit the road, arriving in Perth around 11:30. We went to see my incredibly busy sister and her family. It was great to see my little nephew (1yrs old) walking at last. He's been walking for about 2 months, but it's been that long since I've seen him. I got him a water bath toy thing for his birthday. It's like a few ramps with wheels that you stick to the wall with suction cups and you use this cup to pour water into them. The water travels down the wheels and ramps and makes them spin. My sister said it was perfect and he'd love it. Yay!!

So afterwards we went to Innaloo shops to have a look around. We ended up having lunch there at 2pm and finally got to Chris's folks house at 3. We spent the afternoon there relaxing and shopping and then that night we had home-made pasties for dinner (yum yum!) with Chris's family and grandparents. We were really tired that night, so I ended up going to bed early while Chris stayed up talking to his brother.

Sunday morning we had to get up early and drive all the way to Helena Valley to see our wedding photographer so we could order the big photos for our 20-page album. We had done a list the night before, so the meeting didn't take too long and it's going to look fantastic. Can't wait!! She said it should be about 2 weeks.

After we went there we decided to drop in on our friends Matt and Jess who live right near the photographer. They were in and we had a nice chat and cup of coffee for a while. But we couldn't stay too long cause we were having lunch at my parents' house about 50 min drive away from there. So we left and got to their house just on time. It was a really nice lunch with my parents, grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins. Our family lunches usually last all day, so it was 5:00 when my aunt, uncle and cousins left to go and see Pirates 3. We ended up leaving about 6. We got to Chris's parents house just in time for dinner and then I had to go out straight away.

I was going to see my best friend Kirsty, so I left at 7, armed with lots of junk food. We sat there chatting, stuffing our face and doing "illegal" hair straightening!! Lydia came alone later as well. Was lots of fun :) Kirsty's daughter is the cutest little kid I've ever met. She's 2 years old now and she just keeps getting cuter and cuter. I got her some Dora the Explorer things for her birthday - a height chart and some bubble bath. I hadn't even taken them out of the shopping bag before she saw the picture of Dora through the bag and started saying "Dora!! Dora!!" lol so cute.

Monday morning we got up at 11:00 and didn't realise it was so late. We had no sooner had breakfast than Chris's Dad was making lunches up for a picnic. We went to Cottesloe beach for the picnic, which was nice. There were so many cute doggies. Afterwards, Chris and I left for Bunbury straight from there. We got home around 5:30 and had fish and chips for tea and watched a funny movie "Just Visiting" that my brother loaned us. It was a nice way to end the weekend.
