Enjoying the holidays
So the holidays have been good. This week we got out and about a bit and it was nice. On Monday we went to Busselton for the day, since Chris had a day off. A guy came to paint our house a bit so we decided to go and explore. So we went down to Busselton and walked along the nearly 2km long jetty. We would have liked to see the Underwater Observatory, but it's closed for maintainence or something.
So we walked back and had ice cream from Simmo's. We had choc banana flavour which was BEAUTIFUL. It tastes like the raw mixture for banana cake with chocolate chips in it. Mmmmm!!!! We decided to explore the rest of the town, so we drove around a bit and ended up playing mini-golf. We left Busso later on and went back home, where we got changed, watched the news and then went out for dinner at this restaurant called Barbados, which is on the waterfront. It was pretty nice. I had a vegetarian spaghetti dish and Chris had the selected fish with salad and chips. Was really nice.
Tuesday, Wed and Thurs Chris was working a bit so we just did around the housey-type stuff and watched John Safran vs. God and John Safran's Music Jamboree, which were pretty wild and funny. While he was at work I made my way through Lois and Clark Series 4, which I'm nearly finished.
Friday Chris was working all day so I went to visit my aunt and cousins in Collie. My cousin Carl and I made pizzas for lunch for everyone and they were delicious. We watched a movie while we ate, then my cousins went to their friends' houses and my aunt and I took the dog for a walk. It ended up being a really long walk because we met some of my aunt's friends on the way and she can really chat when she wants to, hehe. We came home and had another cuppa and I left. Then Chris's friend came over to stay over and we had a nice night with a few drinks and spaghetti bolognaise and a movie. Chris had to work early this morning though, so they both left really early and I slept in with nobody around to bother me. Ahhh!
Now I've got 2 days of holidays left :( and then it will be back to wearing work clothes again. I was enjoying wearing my daggy casual clothes, now I have to go back to stupid crepe pants and nice shirts... sigh. Oh well :) At least I like my job!
