This will be my first time not doing anything for my old friend's birthday. We had a falling out several years ago, but I've always called her or something let her know that I haven't forgotten her. This year it's different. She didn't come to my wedding. It wasn't that she forgot, or couldn't come- she just decided not to go. And it's not that I'm mad at her. It's just that.. if she couldn't forgive and forget for my wedding, there's nothing I can do that will ever change her heart. It's too bad. She'll never read this.. but it's my farewell to her, and to the friendship that should have been.
