Clawhammer baby!
Our first annual elementry school reunion was a great success and enjoyed by all. Maybe i should have majored in event planning... You always wonder in middle school where your friends will end up, it is neat to actually be able to find out and see how eveyone changes and doesnt change.
So...My newest ambition, and we all know i have many, but this one is serious, is to be the best female clawhammer banjo player ever. Have you ever heard anyone clawhammer, i mean really go at it? It is one of the coolest things EVER! possible better then pole vaulting. You have to do like three things with your right hand at the same time, in cause you are interested:
(you have to rake the strings with your middle and kinda ring finger nails, every two of those catch the fifth or other desired string with your thumb, and strike out the melody with the nail of your index finger while keeping the rhythm going. there is also another style which uses alternating base notes with the thumb. and this all happens about a million beats per minute, woo)
