Crowning Day in My Life!!!!
So....Pretty excited, as usually, however today a dream was fulfilled!
Our Bluegrass band has been working really hard this semester and it has paid off, literally. We had our first paying gig tonight. We played for 3 hours at a dinner on a hunting lodge place in GA. Afterward we went to cracker barrel where we had a real band discussion. As we were sitting there talking about how to split money, how much we are going to charge for future gigs we got from playing tonight, and what music we want to learn it hit me that this is real. Its not about the money but that people are want to pay us to play. Yeah we have been playing for a while now, but our biggest decision thus far has been when Jess should enter with the egg shaker. I never thought that it would really happen, to be a payed bluegrass musician. 2 years ago i mentioned that i played some banjo in a Alpha Mu meeting, who would have thought enough, and now more then enough, people would be interested in starting a bluegrass band. So I'm pretty pumped!
In other news, also at cracker barrel, Danae said she would buy me starbuck, and dared me to eat a whole biscuit in one bit. Keep in mind we are really full already having eatin cake, two biscuits, eggs and hashbrowns. So I attempt the stunt with the first biscuit, it is to big there is no chance. So i did a smaller one, getting bonus points for not using any water. However, Kevan ate the first one i attempted...

I am finished with my 10 page paper!!! WOO HOO
