And Then It Was Summer
Yes yes, I realize I've been ridiculously remiss in posting to this thing, but I am unapologetic. First of all, so many interesting things have happened that it would be improbably difficult (at best) to catalog them now. Second, I just graduated from IU (h-what???) which made early May into a morass of busy. Third, I've been spending most of my time out and about, mostly downtown attempting to find an apartment in which I can live this coming fall. FOR YOU SEE, I am going to be pursuing a PhD (!) at the University of Illinois in Chicago, aka UIC (!), starting in August (!)! I presume this last info-nugget is entirely unremarkable to you, dear reader, because you, dear reader, are probably only Talya (hi! <3)-- I don't think anybody else reads this? And pursuant to this last point, I might even move my web-writing home to someplace on UIC's servers, in a way following Mr. Jaimie's lead with http://www.cs.indiana.edu/~jammurdo/ (even though it redirects to jamram.net). But don't worry, I'll be sure to post on here a link to where I do eventually end up. For now, bask in the summer rays (the rays are coming from my laptop screen I think) and make sure you aren't homeless in 2 months! (seriously though, I found a good place, no worries)
