Saturday mornings were generally quiet affairs for Stark. Of course, most days were. Generally he liked it that way. He hadn't realized last night was Prom yet, and even if he had he probably wouldn't have made the connection between that event and the arrival of unexpected children. After all, he hadn't had any children show up on the island

"Daaaaaaaaaaaad we know you're there. We heared you," called out one small voice from the other side of the door. "I can hear the tv! Open up Dad!"
Taking a deep breath, or several of them, Stark stood up and walked to the door to open it.

"Dad! I went inna portal again. Sorry. It was an accident." Coming to Fandom had been an accident anyway. Glitz had been hoping for Disneyland. Jumping in the portal had been completely on purpose. "Didn't mean to. But I'm here! Hi! Didja miss me? Didja didja? Is there breakfast or cupcakes or cupcakes for breakfast?"

"FANDOM WEIRDNESS!" Glitz responded quickly and with a practiced air of innocence. He certainly hadn't been playing with anything he shouldn't have been. He would never ever do that.
"We'll see about food," Stark promised. "Soon."

Ziya, meanwhile, had been hanging back while her sort-of-brother got his overenthusiastic hellos out of the way.
"Hello Papa," she said softly as she walked in and held out her arms for a hug. "I'm glad we found you again."

It wasn't that he didn't wonder that about Glitz as well, but Glitz was clearly a happy and well-adjusted and sugar-fueled little boy. Ziya was much quieter and she was Zhaan's so he had to make sure.
"Yes, Papa," Ziya said. "And so is Mama. And the other you. And everyone else. Everyone is fine, I promise."
"Good, good. I worry," Stark said. "I always worry."
"About everything," Ziya finished for him. "You don't need to. But I am hungry."

Ziya giggled in spite of herself. "Papa, he's as bad as Rygel."
Stark shook his head. "No. No one is. But let's find something to eat."
Glitz sat up and gave Ziya an indignant glare. "I'm better'n Rygel! I am WAY CUTER. And I glow. And I'm not so smelly." That last part was debatable, particularly when some little boys had been avoiding bathing.

"Now. Food. What would you like?" Stark paused. "Besides cupcakes. Cupcakes are later. I promise. But you should eat real food too. Not just cupcakes. Not that there's anything wrong with cupcakes but I should try to take good care of you. And that means real food too."
"Noodles!" Glitz suggested. "An' burgers and fries and ketchups and chocolates and a milkshake and macaronis and hot dogs and buttery toast," yes, his fingers wiggled, "and strawberries an' pizza an' everything." He beamed up at Stark. "I'm really really reeeeallly hungry."

"I FORGOT BACON!" Glitz moaned. "Uncle Anders is gon' be dispointed. Don't tell him he might take away my cupcake priv-privala-privthingies."
Reply
"I might." No, he wouldn't. "No, I wouldn't." See?
"But we should eat something else first. We could get bacon. Or pizza. Or pizza with bacon? Or something else. Whatever you want. Anything. Just not cupcakes yet."
