"A-- unn!" The sound of his own voice was rough and congested. He disliked speaking to pretty girls with such an ill-sounding tone. The voice on the other end was so much softer and gentle. Sai Yau really wished he'd been feeling a lot better... or at least sound better.
"Mina-cha--" Once agin, the chinese boy mentally smacked himself for another slip. He needed to keep his manners about him. Shakomon had become so used to tacking '-chan' after Mina's name (much like the Hoi brothers had done with Hikari) that Sai found himself doing the same. Not that Hikari was any more worthy of the suffix! It was... different somehow. If someone were to ask, the boy would probably flail and try to escape giving an answer. Maybe he felt as if he needed to earn it? Possibly. He'd be crossing some sort of line wouldn't he? Again, not that Hikari was special in that case-- just...
"--Mina, I wasn't expecting you to call."
"I was!" The clam digimon piped up before being pulled under the covers by his partner.
"I'm glad to hear from you though." He smiled as Shakomon slipped out to peer at the happiness on his partner's face.
"How are you? Are you very busy studying and working right now?"
