Project:Runway
Tonight is project runway night at Anne's house. I am taking a spaghetti supper over there to cook at her place and also upholster the puppy steps that I built last week. I am also taking Jason to get his meds beforehand.
Graham and I decided that we are going to look for a long-term roommate starting in April. Hana will have moved out by the end of this month, and we really like having that little extra in our budget. This will also allow me to sell our old bed and free up some room in the utility closet.
I moved the bedroom around the other day, and it looks more inviting now. I started polishing the wood to bring out some depth and hide the scratches. It looks new now, you would never know it was second-hand.
Tomorrow I am picking up a wing-back settee from a lady in Middletown. It will be yet another upholstering project. Its a great deal at $50 and sort of unusual for a settee. I don't know where I will put it, but extra seating for the dining table would be inventive use. I will have to move the plants...
Last night I got a bed & matress set and delivered them to a client. She was so excited to be getting them. She has just moved into an apartment after being homeless for years. I had some pillows, 2 lamps and a phone in the van as well that she needed. I love my job when I see someone so happy. She has no way of affording anything like that. There are a lot of good people out there that have extra stuff and I just help facilitate its distribution to those in need. I love my new job!
Ronny and his BF are coming to visit this weekend on Saturday. It should be a good night. I think we are going to take a little drive. I just have no idea where to take Ronny's 16yr old BF in Providence. Any ideas? No Waterfire that night - I checked. They are going to the IMAX and Fire & Ice during the afternoon/evening. Brunch at our house Sunday morning. Maybe Tazza if we go early enough?
