Hey there.

Not sure if you remember me~ I was the one that suggested Adium to you on RP!S ages ago, and then we got to talking about Firefox plugins, and I remember saying I'd tell you if I ever found a "save page as image file" type thing.

I might have actually found one. Haven't finished saving all my tabs so I can restart Firefox and test any of these plugins out yet, but I thought I'd give you a heads up.

Abduction! seems like it may well be the "save as screenshot" kind of plugin I've been looking for.

Also, this looks promising, to help combat the fact that LJ text-entry areas are almost invariably too small (for my tastes, anyhow!) Resizing them is one of the reasons I love using Google Chrome so much, but if I can do that in Firefox now too... well! ♥

I installed and just tried them.

I'm in love.

Abduction is only giving me the option to save pages as png files, but that's perfectly fine by me. It automatically saves the entire page by default, not just what's in the window at the moment (YAY, no more scrolling down and making a page-collage in Photoshop just to get the whole thing!) but you can have it crop off the edges or save just parts of the page, if like all you want is a particular tag or something. Oh, I'm gonna have fun with this. Insert evil laugh here.

And the resizing box thing is just what I've been missing from Chrome and Safari, when I use FF instead. Love, love, love.

Hopefully they're what you were looking for too!

BTW, how did Adium work out on your comp?

Adium is awesome; thank you so much for telling me about it. And Abduction sounds like pretty much EXACTLY what I'm looking for, so thanks for recommending that as well! asdjk I AM FOREVER IN YOUR DEBT. XD

Eh heh heh... um, minor update. I got to playing around with Abduction and it looks like I was mistaken slightly: it wants you to select what you want to screenshot, so if you want to save the whole page, you have to drag the selection-box over the whole page.... but it lets you scroll down and stuff too, so uh. Still pretty freaking effective.

....does this mean I get some of those cookies in your icons? :3

Pfft, that's no big. XD It would really only be annoying with a ridiculously long webpage, but most aren't that bad, so.

You can have your pick of anything in any of my icons. XD

How about LiveJournal Addons and Stylish? Do you have those two already? Because I put up a Stylish style on there that you might enjoy for use on LJ.

I use Stylish, yep! And I'm... actually don't remember if I've installed the LJ Addons; I should look into that. XD
