Name: Kurobane "Bane" Harukaze
Age: 22
Host type: Brotherly type
Reason to host: Loves being able to cheer people up
Appearance: Bane's appearance has remained similar as he's grown and looks remarkably similar to his father, a trend most males in the Kurobane family seem to follow. The only real differences are in his build. He has grown both up, beating the family record by topping out at 196cm, and out, a wide, sturdy build of carefully sculpted and toned muscle. Between his build and his stern default expression, he can easily intimidate even some of the bravest of men. That is, until he gives a wide, bright smile and he doesn't seem so scary anymore.
Personality: Bane is the kind of guy who it is hard to hate, and anyone who does is generally not too well like by Bane either. He is an open and welcoming guy, who has no trouble accepting anyone and everyone for who they are and treats everyone like family, even if he's just met them. All of his clients get treated like they're his best friend. He doesn't take so kindly to someone hurting someone who he considers close, or anyone, really, and has been known to hold lifelong grudges against anyone who does. His confidence can border on cockiness and arrogance, but he does believe he has good reason to have such confidence in himself and his appearance and charm.
Growing up, Bane's family was never very well off. There was enough money to live on, but there was never much else afterwards for leisure, so he has gotten used to not having much money. He still has a habit of being careful with his spending, only buying things that he really needed. The only thing that seems to change that is when his friends needs money. If he can afford to help them, then he will as much as he can.
When he was younger, Bane wasn't nearly as calm and easygoing. In fact, he was much the opposite and was very, very quick to anger, to the point he was suspended from school for a year when he was six because of his anger problems after several assaults on other students and even a couple teachers. He was out of school for a year, undergoing intense anger management therapy. It wasn't until he picked up a tennis racket for the first time and played a match against his older cousin that anyone began to see any change. He returned to school a few months later, playing tennis every day to keep his anger in check and pt his natural strength to use.
History: Bane attended Rokkaku senior high, continuing school in much the same way he had gone through middle school: concentrating on his strengths in tennis, volleyball and surfer rather than caring much about his academic grades. The only subject he ever really had much care for was mathematics and while his grades there were high and could probably lead him to a very healthy lifestyle, he chose not to attend university and instead got a job at a local cafe. It gave him the opportunity to talk to lots of different people everyday. In the summer, he volunteered as a lifeguard and organized beach activities everyday for all the kids to do.
His openness carries to his sexuality and it was during his second year at high school that he began dating. None of his dating experiences lasted more than a couple weeks and by the end of high school, he had decided that commitment didn't work for him. As a result, many of his friendships became friends-with-benefits and a masochistic streak in him had him experimenting with the kinkier sides with sex, many leaving him with scars on his chest and back. He is not embarrassed or ashamed by them, but he does make an effort to cover them up when in a professional environment.
Hosting was actually suggested to him by his mother who knew the job would let her son meet lots of different and interesting people. Figuring it couldn't hurt to give it a try, Bane decided to apply.

Bumps rose on Kurobane's skin as the cold water splashed onto his face, stray droplets hitting his bare back and chest. He leaned forward to duck his head under the ice cold tap and shiver as he lifted his head again. After holding the edge of the sink and just hanging his head over the sink, he lifted his head and looked into the mirror. And smiled. He grabbed a face towel and dried himself off, then straightened at stared down at his chest. He dragged a finger over a particularly long scar over one pectoral muscle. After a few minutes of standing there in silence, he left the bathroom.
Ten minutes later saw him leaving his apartment block and disappearing into the crowd as he made his way to work. It was a short walk to work and soon he was walking in the front door, nodding a greeting to the receptionist and giving her a wink before disappearing into the back to dump his bag.
"You've got someone waiting for you," one of his co-workers, who looked as though he'd just finished his shift, commented.
Bane glanced at him with a cocked eyebrow. "Yeah?" He asked, checking his appearance in a mirror. "Who?"
"Kayumi-chaaaaan~!" A few whistles and hoots sounded and Bane just flipped the other hosts off, adjusted his waistcoat before stepping out into the reception area with a wide smile.
Anything else? Bane likes alcohol. Really likes alcohol, to the point some consider it alcoholism. As a respect to a request from his mom, he makes sure he only drinks non-alcoholic drinks while at work but he makes up for it with a drink as soon as he gets home.
