(no subject)
So another hurricane has come and gone, and this one I actually stayed for. Honestly I was just not willing to leave. That and the combined fact that i really could not afford to go anywhere. But eh... So yeah I stayed, I got out of work on Friday and ran right to ABC to get a big bottle of Bicardi Hurricane. Then went to making calls to invite people over. Everyone pussied out. I cant completely blame them, any one that came over would be stuck there till late sunday and most people would want to be home as thier house is assailed so that they can assess damage as it occurs. So I'll just save it for the Holloween party. heh heh. ButI digress, so yeah the hurricane hits, I have the car safely tucked in the garage and the lawn gnomes positioned on the porch... I was set. So the cane came in, and I played Silent Hill 4 and talked to people online as Jeanee pounded us. Overall it was pretty windy, and kinda fun. Had a little bit of leakage in the front door, and one of the toilets have really reduced pressue. And speaking of the toilet, it was odd to watch the water level rise and fall and move about as if being affected by the wind while sitting in the enclosed bathroom. Crazy water pressure. On on the bright side I only lost power for about 12 hours and got cable back in about 20 hours. What really annoyed me were those hours where I had had no power, no cable and my cell would not get a signal. It was shitty, like living in the stone age. But im all better now!! So if anyone wants to come over and chill in the coool cool air, just drop me a line!!
