I feel your eyes on me.

Torn between projects, honestly.

Everything Falls, my dark Tale Spin fic is something I want to finish someday, but it's only started, with no idea on the ending.

Echo Eternal could go on for a very long time, and I don't see an end to it right now.

Both of which have equal bits of inspiration in my mind, which in both cases is minimal as well. All I have is pieces, plot twists, and the like. And I can't really give out the twists, now can I?

BUT, I do have a neat little scene I thought of earlier today for Echo Eternal.

-----

"Sieze power, Derek. That's the only suggestion I can give you," Ixis Naugus urged.

"No. I can't do that. It wouldn't be right," Derek said, instantly clutching his amulet.

"Surely, you can't hold on to that thing forever. You really believe in all this 'holy' mumbo-jumbo? Derek, you were created in a laboratory, in an unnatural way! You really think you were created in a way that was pure?"

"...the method doesn't always matter. I was created with an altruistic purpose in mind. Even if I failed to fulfill it due to outside forces, I know that I was able to help save a life, even if it was only one."

"People die, Derek. We do not. What good is saving lives when they're going to be lost to time, anyways?"

Derek's aura sight caught glimpse of a small wispy figure behind. Light blue melded into violet, which mixed with vermillion. Calm, excited, happy.

"Because not everything ends with death. Sonic...is right behind you."

"Impossible," Naugus crossed his arms.

"He is. And a little bit of black is running through his aura. Hatred." The human pointed. "Your aura is almost dominant of this color, if it weren't for the dark red 'desire' that fills up the holes."

"Fantastic. You can see things that aren't there. Congratulations."

Derek shook his head sadly. "That's the problem with you, Ixis Naugus. You'll preach at me to no end, but you never will listen to what I have to say. You're already convinced of your ideals and goals, and nobody could change your mind, not even with scientific facts."

Naugus strongly grabbed Derek by the collar and pulled him close. "I speak with experience, Derek! Every bit of 'good' in this world has been fleeting and scarce! I've seen it all! I've just about done it all! I tell you this right now, Derek. Here's a little bit of information you should probably listen to."

"Unhand me," Derek commanded.

But the sorceror continued.

"Angels don't come down because there's nobody left to save."

Rage filled the human then. Something about that sentence sounded absolutely wrong. And on a somewhat cosmic scale, Derek knew that he should feel absolutely outraged that someone would say it at all. It was this anger that offset his natural zen, and he could feel his power channeling through him almost by reflex.

The amulet glowed a silvery white. The last thing that Naugus saw before--

"UNHAND ME!"

Derek's arms and legs flung themselves outward as the energy released itself. White light exploded from the very center of Derek's being, striking Naugus and causing him to soar through the air for about twenty feet. It didn't catch the sorceror off guard. No, he saw the blast coming.

It overpowered Naugus.

He tilted his head to get a look at Derek. The light had somewhat affected his vision as well, but it soon cleared with some magical help. He saw the human just...floating there. About a foot off the ground, just staring straight ahead. His eyes were filled with the same silvery light that adorned his amulet moments before, and that worried Naugus somewhat.

Derek could somewhat see all the emotions Naugus was going through. The aura was switching colors so fast that it seemed almost random. One color stayed constant the entire time though.

Green.

Envy.
