So what's everybody doing for New Years? I can't find any fireworks displays locally, and most everybody around has plans already, so it looks like I'll be ringing it in with Dr. Pepper in front of the tv. I'm not complaining! And something may open up and that'll be fine too. It's all good.
Resolutions I have so far:
1. Encourage the good habits. Take a shovel to the bad.
2. Keep in touch with people better. I don't have being in Alaska as an excuse anymore. (And now I have people in AK to keep in touch with!)
3. Read more. Write more.
4. Create something every day. Even if it's just a sandwich. Make something I enjoy and enjoy it.
5. Give more. At least one charity a month worked before. Budget's tighter since I've been out of work, but I can always give something. (Operationsmile.org has an especially heartbreaking commercial out. As does the ASPCA.)
6. Stop saying/thinking 'It's not good enough. I can't show anybody yet. It's not done. I can do better. I need to fix it first.' Because I have said that for 7 years and it's no better than it was then. Declare it done and go on! Submit it, post it, publish it. Do it!
That's it for now. If I don't see or hear from you tonight, Happy New Year! And a MWAH for midnight.
