Edgewood!
Ok, so change of plans!
Edgewood has offered me a full year scholarship! FUCK YEAH!
$15,025 worth of grants and such, to be exact!
Now I just need to get my money back from MATC, even though it's only $1500 or so.
This is EXCELLENT!
I have an appointment with my Advisor tomorrow morning at 9a.
So, yesterday was fun....
Drew came over after work and he listened to Elsa's band for awhile.
Then we went for a bike ride. We stopped by Bernie's Rock Shoppe, the Mini Mart across the way for drinks....then we sat on the ground by our bikes for awhile, talked and drank our refreshments....
Then we biked on towards the Union....
he sprained his ankle on the way. That was kind of scary....
but I think it got mostly better already.
THEN, we had icecreme at the Rathskeller, and sat and talked for a long time, wrote for awhile, and so on.
Then back to his house, where we played BOGGLE for a few rounds.
Then....then....his mom gave me some Watermelon, that was nice!
Although he wanted to smack her for it! Haha!
So, come 10,30 we walked to the bus stop and took the bus back to the Atwood neighbourhood.
We went to the Glass Nickel for an 11,45 dinner, and then home again.
Today at work went by rather quickly.
It was 4 hours, 40 minutes; I got there late (9,30) because I had missed the bus.
I went to East Towne Mall after work. I don't know why; I guess I just felt good after getting the grants, so I thought I should spend some money on myself. Unfortunately (fortunately) I did not find a single thing under $100 in the mall that appealed to me, so I left, without purchase.
I guess I don't really like shopping very much.
I found some earrings and a necklace that I liked, but you know, you know....they were REALLY expensive.
Eh, I'm sick of cheap crap, anyway. There's too much of it in the world.
Plus, the house is messy enough, I don't need MORE colorful plastic objects littering the place!
I bought some stuff at B-Cubed on Monday, hangers and such. Wow, how cool.
Now I feel organized.
There's a bunch of new people at BBB: Linda, Kim, Alicia, Amy, Anna, Abbey, and one other girl who I have never met....
It's amazing how fast people come and go around there. But apparently they like me, and I like it, so it works quite well! They are definitely good employers.
Ah! I just got a really funny email. Actually, no, not so much funny as....well....it just makes you groan and say 'OH MY GOD!' to yourself.
Or myself.
Or whomeversself.
Kickass, I think I just invented a word.
