Of feline dental woe

I took Frodo in for his teeth cleaning this morning. I just called a few minutes ago to see when I could pick him up, and they said he's doing well and I can come get him anytime after 5:00. I then asked how the actual procedure went and found out they had to extract six of his teeth -- two canines, two incisors, a premolar, and a molar ( Read more... )

Poor Fro-fro.... Isis had 7 teeth removed back in October I think it was.
She is getting dropped off at the vet monday morning, this weird skin thing she had back then has resurfaced and its like 1000X worse! I don't know what it is but she looks like she is in pain too when she walks, she vomited 3 times last night and has been lethargic all day today for the most part. Not that she is a ball of energy to begin with! She is getting old.
I feel bad now for spanking her before, as she may be very sick and that may be why she is not going IN the litter box... But I really had no idea.
And the worst of the news is with the move coming and only one income we don;t have money to help her really, if this is going to be something super expensive to fix, or if its chronic and will require constant care and treatment we won;t have a choice but to have her put down. I feel terrible. It's one thing to put an animal down because they are mean, or ruining your home, its another thing to do because they are sick and you don't have hundreds of dollars to treat them. HOWEVER, maybe its not so bad and she'll be fine.
