Hey everyone!
PLAY WHORING!
-On November 17th at 8pm I'm in a Musical Theatre Review type thing
entitled "A Night at the Movies." It is about a 2 hour show of a whole
bunch of musical numbers from any musical that is involved with a movie
(for instance the musical was made into a movie, is based off a movie,
etc..) I am singing a duet with a fellow acting major, a solo song, and
then one of our group numbers (we have 4) is Without Love from Hairspray
and I have the Link solo. Tickets are $7 at the door and $5 in advance
(people can email me at jkemp4@umbc.edu for advance ticket information).
The show is on-campus in the SportsZone in the Commons (directions can be
found on www.umbc.edu) and parking is free since it is the weekend. My
suggestion would be to try and park on the circle, in the Commons Garage,
or in the Walker Avenue Garage (all located on the map)
-Tentatively (these dates may be subject to change and the times aren't
certain yet) on December 15th and 16th at 7 or 8(friday/saturday, not
certain of the time yet, I can tell you all later) I have the LEAD (I'm
excited too!) in a student run production of a recent alumni's play
entitled "Who's Your Deity?" It is a comedy based off of religious
figures out of context. I guess this show needs a warning label that it
MAY possibly sound offensive to all religions if taken out of context but
is in no means created to bash any religion whatsoever. Also, there is
some cursing (I say the f word about 5 times throughout the play) and at
the beginning of the show a girl is on stage topless but is covering her
chest with clothing. Other than these maybe not so small things, its a
really great and funny show that should be fun to work on and perform. If
anyone has any questions about it they can also email me. I don't know
ticket prices yet, it will probably be free but might be $5 dollars for
students. Where it is is also TBD, but I just wanted to give you
tentative info.
And that is all :-D
