Summary: Victoria Asher is a classically trained pianist from New York, but she's moved to Chicago, looking for a new life. Now piss poor, she moves in with her friend Ryan, only to find out that he's been leading a much different life than she expected. She gets to meet Jon Walker, a new friend who was born and bred in Chicago, as well as reuniting with Alex Greenwald, whose hair has only gotten longer. Ryan's also got a pretty friend named Elizabeth, but refuses to go by that - instead, Z. Z's another musically inclined girl, with a couple of really bad habits - not that Victoria doesn't have her own. Of course, Victoria would then find out that Ryan has been hiring a hooker, and he's such a nice boy. In the end, it's all about getting the girl - or, in Ryan's case, the boy who's too scared to commit. Oh. And Victoria's beginning to get a little homesick.

HUGE thanks goes completely and utterly to camatie for being a great cheerleader, and awesome beta, and totally understanding of my crazy e-mails every time I got nervous. You are amazing and deserve all of the love in the world. And thanks to anyone else who even let me talk to them about this fic at all to them and who was interested in it. Another huge thanks, again, to my mixer and artist ( oh_whoa_oh  and speep , respectively) for giving me something awesome for my first bandombigbang. Another huge thanks goes out to the mods of said community - I am in awe, honestly, that you guys are able to set this up.
