Nick Scimeca!
This is my first primer so sorry if it sucks... Mostly I just gathered all the links, facts, pictures and junk that I knew and threw it together. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong or it sucks.
Alrighty, so in my many many days of being a bandom fangirl I have noticed that everyone and their mothers seems to know who Nick Scimeca is... and can recognize him in photos... but has no idea at all what he does or why they know him. It's sort of depressing because Nick... Nick is spectacular.
Let's start off with the basics.
Name: Nicholas Scimeca
Age/DOB: 25/December 30th, 1983
Location: Chicago, IL
Hair Color: Brown... Maybe dirty blond.
Eye Color: Appears to be brown.
Significant Other: Stephanie Niedospial
I'm not sure on his height, weight or social security number but if you know those feel free to let me know.
Nick has been around forever and a day pretty much. You might recognize him from 5o4 Plan/504plan_gang.
5o4 Plan was a moderately successful band from Chicago during the years of 1999 to 2004. Nick played drums. I won't go into to much detail about 5o4 Plan(even though they are amazing) but you should know they split up in 2004 and Jon Walker(of panic at the disco fame) played bass and Tom Conrad(formerly of The Academy Is...) played guitar(he's with Empires now). Also - I'm pretty sure Nick is attempting to get rid of the rest of their last CD so... you should buy it.
Anyway during the time of 5o4 Plan and after 5o4 Plan Nick did a bunch of stuff for his friend Pete Wentz(do I need to tell you who he is?). Mostly he did website designs and other design stuff. Cause that's his job.
Specifically he worked at Clandestine Merch. I'm pretty sure he did the website and maybe some other designs. eta: notto_self informed me that Nick designed the bartskull and that you can hear all about it in an interview that Chris did with Nick awhile back on Fearless radio. You can download that interview at the bottom of this page. Can't miss it. :D
After Clandestine(or maybe around the same time) he created Friends or Enemies. Yeaahhh. (Told you he was cool.)
I'm not to clear on the specifics of anything back then(anyone? anyone?) I'm mostly more concerned with what he's doing now. So, let's move on shall we?
Nick currently owns and operates We Can't Stop Thinking. Which is according to the site an "an idea driven design, development and advertising company with a strong focus on youth and entertainment brands. We live to create intelligent interactive experiences, viral web-campaigns, beautiful print design & comprehensive brand development." Whatever that means... XD
We Can't Stop Thinking has designed a bunch of junk you're probably intimately familiar with including...
*Plain White T's
*The Academt Is...
*Butch Walker
*The Academy Is...'s ecard
*Lakeview Broadcasting Company
and a bunch of other stuff.
Nick and his company also did the awesome Panic at the Disco FOE page a while back...(maybe more on that down the road).
Besides being totally awesome and designing the coolest shit ever, Nick is half of Tequila Mockingbird. The other half is his friend Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes. (and just because it's an interesting fact that may or may not have any importance to Nick... Nick is the reason Gym Class is signed to FBR/Decaydance. So you should thank him for all the awesome Travie goodness we have.)
Tequila Mockingbird is sort of a hiphop thing. Travie and Nick started this sometime in uhh January. I dunno what exactly you'd call it besides awesome and catchy. They have a couple songs up on the myspace (Snowglobe!) and I guess they started when Travis was chilling with Nick and heard some beats he did on his computer. Then Travis started singing/rapping... or something. The beats were made by Nick recording a song from an actual snowglobe and chopping them and splicing them. They're supposed to have something out this year. :D
Recently Nick blogged about his new bar. Yes, it's what you're thinking it is... the new Angels and Kings bar in Chicago. Along with Stephen Westman(Lakeview Broadcasting Company), Matt Eisler, Pete Wentz, Perez Hilton, and Jessica Murmane(Clandestine Ind). No date on the opening yet(and it may be open now... I'm under 21 so I've no idea). Anyway for more information on that have an article.
Other than miscellaneous media I have(yes, a small nick scimeca pic spam is on the way) there's not to much else that I can say about Nick. After the pics and media I'll put a crap ton of links that you can backlog through for more information...(like old buzznets and ljs!).
Moving on to pictures of the flannel wearing, hat sporting... Nick.
He's often seen wearing a hat and flannel so let's start with those. (I'm not really into pic spams so this is really just going to be a bunch of awesome pictures.)
He also makes lots of funny faces.
He reallllllly likes this hat.
Did I mention he's really good friends with Bill Beckett? A lot of his buzznet pictures are of Bill.

YES.. hes in a shower.. with who? I've no idea.
A lot of these pictures are really old because I'm stealing them from Buzznet... But whatever.
I'm fairly certain Janae (petes ex-jailbait-girlfriend) did his hair here.

I have 4 video interviews of Nick that Chris did a while back... Mostly about Tequila Mockingbird... But they're pretty interesting.
Since I was lazy and didn't really feel like c/p his old blog and other things and I didn't post any of the awesome pictures of Bill that Nick has... here are a bunch of links you can follow that you can backlog on(his lj is AWESOME)
