happy new year
the past few days have been busy, but definitely lots of fun... friday i slept in (which i deserved after being stuck at the airport for five hours!!! my flight was majorly delayed coming back to portland) and then went to meet up with adie, emily, and chris for happy hour at henry's... afterwards, emily and i headed up to the bitter end tavern for a bit, we got to hang out with volleyball rob and some of his new zealand buddies before calling it a night... saturday go off to a crappy start (stupid text message!), but my friend mike talked me into going to the stephanie schniderman show at jimmy mak's... i had such a good time, got to catch up with stephanie and mike, meet breanna (from rye hollow), and got to see todd, jake (and meet his mom) and george as well, before i headed up to the blue moon to hang out with laura and some cute boys from the yale rowing team before calling it a night... sunday was pretty chill, and i headed over to the side st to hang out with jenny till she got off work for new year's eve... beth, rickey, jon, adie, emily, and chris came as well, and once jenny got off work we headed over to acme for some food and cider (and some interesting music... i forgot their name, but they only plays songs from western movies and tv shows)... then beth, rickey, jon and i headed over to beth's place to watch a few episodes of arrested development before we headed to wild abandon for a private party after they closed (which was an interesting expereince, but lots of fun), and then we headed back to the side st to hang with jenny and her brother jason for a bit, before we had to walk back to beth and rickey's apartment... so, this new year's eve was definitely better than last year, and i hope everyone else enjoyed their night as well ;)~ i head back down to california for the last of my big doctor's appointments, and that's really it for now...
