Weekend with Epiphany
I rode to Myrtle Beach with a USC DM and a couple percussionists on Friday to check out the indoor drumline Epiphany....It was awesome! I had never been in an indoor drumline, but I had always wanted to know what it was like. I thought I was gonna be way lost, but the music was good. My hands hurt like hell now. My fingers are swollen, I have a couple blisters, and if I had played any longer today then I would have dug a hole into my palm. I guess that's what I get for not having played for about a year. LOL. Sleeping in the band room was fun. I got to see Amber for a little while too!!!!! Which is great. Anyway, it was great. I met a lot of new people and they were great. Bottom line: the director offered me a spot on Marimba....if I can pay the membership fee or $680. I really want to do this...like really bad. Blah...I hope I can get the money.
