Giving Thanks, Tasuki Style
(A Drabble based on The Promise)

I never thought this could happen. I useta think about what it could be like if it did, but there’s a whole lotta distance between thinkin’ and ‘not a chance in hell’.
Which means I ain’t in hell, then, ‘cause I’m standin' on th’ threshold of gettin’ somethin’ I always wanted…an’ by fair an’ square means, no less! Hearin’ Miaka tell me she’s in love with me qualifies as the hugest fuckin’ miracle known to the Universe of the Four Gods, and it's as close to heaven as I’m probably ever gonna get.
The woman is everything that’s good an' pure an' right in my life.
She puts the fire in my heart and the light in my soul.
She has me feelin’ all poetic an’ gushy an’ sappy. She has me likin’ myself bein’ that way.
Truly, love makes anythin’ possible.
