Sister Charlatan, I no longer admire you: A Marta Peterson Miniprimer
This is my first-ever post here, huzzah! But enough about me for now...
...and more about this chick.
This is Marta Peterson. She plays keyboards/synths in a band(duh.) called Bleeding Through.
Marta hails from Sun Valley, Idaho, but now calls Orange County, California home. She’s a vegetarian and has some done work for PETA, though I haven't any literal proof of this.
She loves pink, chocolate, roses, sun dresses, Seattle, shopping, and of course; her family, band, and friends.
She was given the award for "Hottest Female" at the Revolver Magazine Golden God Awards, and was presented the trophy by Atreyu singer Alex Varkatzas(i43.tinypic.com/2eg8e52.jpg)
So a) EVERYONE agrees that she's beautiful, b) equally beautiful men think so too, and c) Alex/Marta fic needs to be written now.
But enough of that for now. This is the reason that I'm introducing Marta to y'all:
L to R: Marta(Keyboards), Brian Leppke(guitar), Ryan "Wommy" Wombacher(bass), Scott Danough(guitar), Derek "Deebo" Youngsma(drums), Brandan Scheippati(vocals).
These fine people make up Bleeding Through. They are a straightedge metalcore/hardcore band who have toured with such acts as Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Slayer, Eighteen Visions(RIP), Atreyu...pretty much every other metal/metal-like band you can think of. They make amazing, heavy, hard-hitting music with keyboard and orchestral accents, paired with suprisingly heartfelt and vulnerable lyrics.
They changed lineups a bit since that photo, so here they are as of now:
L to R: Derek, Brian, Ryan, Marta, Brandan, and Jona Weinhofen.
THey are badass.
And fierce, and pretty good-looking in some interesting ways.
Really though, they are just the happiest little metal band there ever was. (Pretty thing on the bottom right is not Brian, he's his temporary replacement while he's honeymooning. His name is Patrick and he's in a band called Demon Hunter.)
At times,she doesn't get along with the guys. Brandan makes her cry somewhat frequently. D'oh.
BUT!:
When she moved from Seattle (where she was living when she met Brandan because she was going to college) to California, she made Brandan call and make sure it was OK with her dad. She lived with Brandan until last year, when she moved in with Jona and Wommy.
She still gets along best with Jona though.
Despite the whole sensitive girl thing, Marta has her fierce side, which comes out onstage with BT.
Grr!

She also has an affinity for wearing white, at times.
And can look badass even with roots showing.
Deeep in concentration and such.
Bleeding Through and crew, half-naked. Ignore the hunk o' delicious man that is Brandan, and focus on Marta's pale self.
And now, Marta solo or with people not her band.
That's gotta hurt.
This is her "portrait" so to speak, in the liner notes of their album "The Truth".
Pretty Marta is pretty. Obstructive fence is obstructive.

"Death Anxiety" - Pay attention to her. She headbangs like CRAZY.
"Germany" - Good n' scary.
"Line In The Sand" - Pretty song, beautiful band...yeah.
"Love In Slow Motion" - This one gets pretty gory/a bit disturbing. It has a bit of a horror-movie/slasher flick vibe to it, you have been warned. Brandan does save the day with a baseball bat, though.
"Love Lost In A Hail Of Gunfire"
"On Wings Of Lead" - First song I heard of BT's. Loved them from that moment on.
Basically, my point is: Marta Peterson is an amazing lady, and deserves your/our/anyone's ficcing.
