could we please fast foward or rewind a bit?...i can't keep my mind set on the present
friday i chilled at home...was pretty productive :) practiced piano, flute, AND saxophone (the practicing of which has become an interesting new favorite way to spend my free time...)
after fixing some dinner my dad drove me to brewster to catch a train into the city where peri, nat, will, eris (sp??) and gerald met up with me! the six of us walked back to will's mom's apartment where carlos and pammy were finishing mixing special cake mix :P [this get-together was in honor of will's 18th birthday]
we hung out for a little bit...chilled outside...listened to music and danced while waiting for the cake to be finished. once iced, we dug in :) yummm
we decided to trek to times square around midnight and eventually ended up at grand central to see gerald, carlos, and pammy off to their train home. then, eris (sp??), peri, will, nat, and i went back to will's...will put on a movie called "the cat returns" :P and we all fell asleep before it was over.
saturday morning, we ate some breakfast and walked to penn station so i could get my train to NJ. i said goodbyes to everyone and got on the train to go to sydneysssss!!! (for HER birthday party!) :)
syd and camille picked me up at the metropark train station and we drove back to syd's house. kristen gray arrived (hoorayyyy!!!) and the four of us got all hippie-a-fied with tattoos and hippie-like clothing while waiting for everyone else to get there.
we hung out at the wardlaw-hartridge lower school playground and once i realized that the strange, distant music i'd been hearing for an hour was coming from an ice-cream truck that was sitting in the parking lot at the school, cami and i went over to get some ice cream :)
the afternoon/evening consisted of simple hanging out and getting to meet all the friend's syd had told me so much about was great. at one point we had a guitar-along/sing-along (for probably 3 hours, lol) doing mostly beatles music...and i attempted to comp on piano for a couple tunes :)
afterwards, i wandered into syd's living room and pulled out the mellophone she was borrowing from elon to learn before marching band camp and had syd's friend amanda teach me about playing brass instruments :P i learned how to play a Bb scale...and i started to get the hang of it after offending some people's ears for a half hour :P ...man, brass is hard!
...after a while, everyone kind of disappeared...so me, syd, cami, and kgray watched flavor of love and the flava flave roast. syd and i talked for a little bit with marisa over skype until liam FINALLY showed up and we had to say goodbye. it was nice to meet liam, though i didn't really get to talk to him...
finally, around 1-ish am, us four girlies retreated to syd's room upstairs and crashed. <3sleep<3
this morning we got up around 10...chilled, ate some breakfast...found cami's phone...and then they drove me to the train station so i could begin my journey home. after saying goodbyes, i made it to the track and waited for the train...which ended up being late :-/
i am so proud of myself...cause i managed to get out of penn station and all the way to grand central ALL BY MYSELF :D [please realize, i feel very accomplished, however easy this task might seem to you]
i stopped in starbucks and got a tazo green tea and a raspberry scone (which turned out to be DELICIOUS!) to eat on the train...got to grand central and found my train...
my dad met me at the brewster train station and then went home...
i had a shift at cold stone tonight...which was ok...i absolutely could not stand this girl that was there...she was pretentious, rude, and sloppy...yet she still managed to correct things that i did and not speak to me the entire night. (*coughBITCHcough*)
luckily i liked the crew leader, so it wasn't a terrible shift. he was itching to get out earlier rather than later, so he made sure we closed pretty quickly and i got out of there before 10:15 :)

i just realized why i started missing elon again: this is the longest i've been home since winter break :-/
and there's still so much summer left to go. (technically, it's not even summer yet!)

tomorrow i get started on flute lessons with dr. walker again :) very excited about that...
then, later, i'm working at cold stone again, 7-close in brookfield.
*sigh*...

p.p.s. just to back track a little...i also went to the high school chorus concert on wednesday. it was FANTASTIC. bravo, reis, bravo. everything sounded great :) it was so good to see everyone again. i even got to catch up a little with sam worby cause he was there to perform with commoners :P ...unfortunately, michael knowles had to miss the concert (his last high school chorus concert!) for this dumb county-wide dinner for all the valedictorians and soluditorians (he's the val. this year! and max yoeli is the sol.! whoot!)
