So how many of you were aware that the official trailer for PotC: Dead Man's Chest has been released? Cause I just found out today.
Go here to watch it.
Looks pretty good to me. They've brought in Bill Nighy to play Davey Jones, although based on what we see in the trailer, you'd never know it was him. Yay for Bill Nighy. If you haven't seen The Girl in the Cafe, you're missing out on a wonderful performance by Bill and an equally great performance by Kelly Macdonald. The movie's not as subtle in terms of plot, and it gets horrifyingly preachy toward the end (although I can't blame Richard Curtis for getting preachy about things like AIDS and world hunger), but aside from the political subplot, it's a wonderfully unconventional love story.
(Richard Curtis of Love Actually, Bridget Jones screenplays, Four Weddings and a Funeral, "Mr. Bean," and "Blackadder" fame. Not a screenwriter to be missed.)
