Lost in Translation
Is it me? Am I of some rare breed of man that can communicate clearly? Is being able to distinctly say what you're feeling some kind of hidden talent that only a select few possess? I just don't get how someone can say something that to most people has a certain interpretation in the English language, and yet be convinced that they're saying something with a meaning that's entirely different and completely obscure. Granted, online communication isn't the most unambiguous method to talk about important topics. But coupled with a slightly less-than-stellar ability to discuss one's feelings, this can lead to massive miscommunications and much exasperation.
Argh! Why is it so hard for some people to just say what they feel?! Instead, you're forced to try to make out the hidden meaning of their words, cloaked behind a wall of detached indifference.
