Today was certainly an interesting and good day. :-) The service was good, and then afterwards, one of the 3rd grade girls from the small group I lead on weeks 2 and 4 (I was off today) saw me and came up to me and gave me a hug! It was so sweet!
Then this afternoon my Dad and I went to Heinz Field in Pittsburgh for the Steelers game! It was so fun! My second Steelers game ever. And they actually WON. LOL. Ben only had one turnover. It was almost a complete shut-out, but the Bucaneers scored a field goal with like 5 seconds left in the game. Grrr. It was sooooo cold, though! And windy as heck. We were way up at the top in Peanut heaven. But we were right on the 50 yard line, so we had a great view, even if the guys looked really small. I am very disappointed that we didn't get to see Polamalu and Ward play.
After the game, it took us FOREVER (okay, it just seemed like forever) to get out of town and onto the highway. But after we finally got out of the parking garage and were slowly making our way to the highway, I turned on the radio and was scanning through the stations when I came across something that totally caught my attention. It was this totally intriguing music. Not in English, though. Apparently Sunday nights thi radio station plays Indian music. Thi guy, Oliver Rajamani, is really good. It's kind of like gypsy type of music. Go here if you want to check him out:
http://www.oliverrajamani.com. Very cool. So I've been sitting here listening to snippets of his one CD. I am totally loving it! I asked for the CD for Christmas. My family's gonna think I'm weird (well, I guess you could say weirder :-P). Especially my mom who only listens to blues guitarists. I also asked for a Juanes CD...Spanish music. I just think that music from other cultures is so interesting. I love it!
I recently decided that I'm going to repaint my room. Right now it is a bright green. I'm gonna do a color wash...base color of beige, glaze color of red. It's gonna look so cool! Every now and then I just need some change in my life. I like variety and new things. Keeps things interesting. Hopefully I'll be starting on it this coming Sunday (there's no Steelers game). I want it to be done before Christmas. My dad is also painting our living room/dining room/hallway. It's gonna be quite a smelly house for the next couple of weeks. Hehe.
Alright...getting tired and cold so I'm gonna go to bed now. Goodnight!
