Alfred raced down I-4, Fate a,n spells weaving and twisting around him as he pushes his tiny Ford Escorts engine to the max. Each turn and twist along the highway was perfectly timed, his car was running at peak performance. Every cop along the way suddenly had somehting else to do, the highway was a clear empty path ahead of him as if fate itself dictated his quest. I swear to the Heiromagus these women will be the death of me!
He hadn't slept since Sunday, it's not like he really wanted to. Alfred kept himself busy and pushed his body to the limit, he knew if he let himself sleep that nightmares and horrific thoughts would float around in the brain space. Connecting his Seer maps, working out each clue and connecting each dot, redecorating his house, stalking Wal-Mart because that one lady looked suspicious...none of it could get the thoughts out of his head. So here he was.
Slamming on his breaks and pulling off a parallel parking job ala Blues Brothers, Alfred got out of his car. Smoothing his blood red shirt and adjusting his bright blue tie, Alfred strides up to the front of the building and grasps the door handles. Catching his reflection, he was sure no one would recognize him in his outfit an make-up disguise kit. he didn't want to be caught dead here...and if Gypsy heard he's unsure if he'd ever live it down. Grasping the doors and grunting loudly as he swings both open hard, the doors fly open and slam against the stone their connected to with an echoing sound. The few people inside catch sight of him, then decide it might be a better idea to go home early.
Walking down the entryway, Alfred looks about making sure no one is around. As the last homeless clears out, he turns and looks up at the target of his journey. He points up to the large Crucifix hanging by wires above the large stone alter. "Listen up you, we need to have a talk."
Alfred frowns, crossing his arms and pacing infront of the Alter. "Now...don't go telling anyone I'm here. We both know our issues with each other and they don't need to be rehashed. But...I need your help." He sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Look...i don't really believe in most of the crap thats told about you. Personally, I think your just some Supernal entity with a hard-on for helping mewling brats who deny sex just to give you essence. Regardless, Gyspy looks up to you. She really has a thing for you, and right now Bree's with her too..." His voice gets quiet and he looks down.
"Do me a favor, just this once? Watch out for them, please. I mean, "he speaks quickly," it's not like I can be there right now. I've got enough on my plate as it is. I'll even go celebrate your deathday and bring food. be all social like, how does that sound? Listen..." Alfred sighs, looking around and speaking softer. "Between you, me and the marble I really kinda care what happens to those two. And if they don't come back just how they left...I swear I will summon you form the Supernal and bind you to Sarah Palin for all eternity in a geas!" He scowls, pointing a finger up at the frozen features of Christ on the Cross.
Reaching into his pocket, he feels the familiar gold coin. It's been years, and always this small coin has served him better than any friend ever could. Pulling i out, he could feel the friendly and welcoming pulse of Time and Fate surging through his hand. Closing his eyes, he gently rubs the coin. "Dragons, they come back well and fine. Celtic Maze...they don't come back."
Sucking in air, he flips the coin. Catching it in his hand and flipping it onto his wrist, he slowly peeks an eye open to glance at which side of the coin landed up.
