Yep. We experienced Summer in April today. 90 degrees.
trystan830 wondered (dreaded?) if today was a sign of things to come this summer.
She tends to melt when it's 80 degrees.
What she worry? We have central air now... which I reminded her of that today since we put it on. LOL
The Flyers got knocked out of the playoffs. BOO. Can't say it wasn't deserved. They had a 3-0 lead, and let it get away from them. At least the Phillies won in a gutty effort -- two nights in a row they pulled off late-inning heroics. It's a good thing that the Phillie fans I know have strong hearts, since they don't make it easy! LOL This can be said for all Philly teams.
Oh well. Life as a sports fan. :-)
trystan830's grandmother turned 90 today. After all of the health issues she's dealt with over the past 11 years (starting with a stroke), it's amazing that she made it to 90. We're celebrating her birthday next weekend. :-)
Speaking of birthdays, M will be 8 in five-and-change weeks. *That's* hard to believe.
Next up on the house: caulking the front porch and clean the gutters. One gutter -- over the driveway -- may end up needing to be replaced. It's leaking at the joints. I'll have to look inside the gutter to see if there's anything that can be done. I probably should get an extender to draw the water away from the house, too. I guess a trip to The Home Despot is in order.....
I don't know why, but I have an itch to go see a Phillies game soon. Something to think about and check to see if it's doable. Of course, the kids will say they want to go, but I have a feeling they'll get very restless before too long. **shrug**
Now, I really don't know what's wrong with me. I've actually watched more than two minutes of a basketball game yesterday (The Sixers, in a dramatic playoff win). I loved basketball while growing up, but lost interest when I got into college. But, since I started paying attention to the Phillies (and baseball as a whole) over the past couple of years, I guess it's possible that I could start caring for the Sixers again, too. It does help when there's a player on the team that gives you a reason to care......
Scarily enough, work has been real quiet. But, I can't help but wonder if it's just the calm before the storm.......
We shall see.
Jody is still having hissy fits/temper tantrums toward Max. :-( I keep hoping that Jody will settle down and realize that Max isn't a threat. But, Jody is having none of it. Hopefully soon, or maybe Jody is starting to go senile. He is an Ancient Dude, after all.
J is really progressing her skating, which is real cool. Both kids have their dance recital in a few weeks. Woo hoo. /sarcasm. It's a big day for them, though; so I'll be there to see it.
I think that's it for the niggling thoughts, which is just as well since I don't to bore anyone to tears any more than I already have.....
