Ahhh. The joys of life
1. Crabby Boy Jody is not taking the fact there's another cat in the house too well, even though Max does nothing to bother him... other than being in the house, that is. It's gotten to the point that Jody's been separated so he doesn't pee/poop all over the house. We were finding "presents" all over the house, and Jody was caught in the act on more than one occasion.
Surprisingly, though, Jody really hasn't protested too much about being kept in a room by himself. Right now, he's sleeping in the kitty bed we bought for August. He had food, water and a litter box.. and no run ins with Max. We'll let him out of the room in the morning. He'll have breakfast in the kitchen, then he goes outside, and won't come in until after dark.
It would be nice if he'd stop growling/hissing at Max, though.
2. M went camping this weekend. She had fun.
3. I'll be taking the kids to the zoo on Tuesday since they're off from school. The tickets were given to us by yumemitai's mom, who won them in a radio station contest. It was cool of her to give the tickets to us. M's friend B may be coming, too. We'll see about that, though.
4. May is a busy time. Next Saturday is the kids dance recital. Yippee. /sarcasm.
5. Next Monday (Memorial Day) is M's family birthday party. She doesn't know it yet, but she's getting another Mozilla Firefox plushie. Right now, there's four of them in the house, and M tries to hijack them all. I am hoping that if she has two for herself, she'll leave the others alone. I have a feeling, though, that she'll try to have five in her room......
6. Then, the following Saturday (5/30), we'll be heading to the Washington D.C. area for my SIL's adult Bat Mitzvah.
7. Something big is going on June 1... what is it........
Oh yeah, M will be 8.
Where has the time gone?
8. M's friends birthday party will be on 6/5. I'm not sure how we ended up spoiling our kids by having two birthday parties for them. I think that's trystan830's doing......
9. J's ice skating has really progressed. She's also gaining more and more confidence in trying new moves. She still gets easily frustrated if she can't do the moves, though..... Hopefully in time she'll learn how to deal with the frustration.
10. When will the sibling rivalry end?
11. It's that time for the dentist. My appointment is on Thursday. The kids will go in June when I go on vacation.
12. I still have to find time to get stuff done around the house. I've gotten a couple of things done, though, so that's a start. :-)
13. Jody is snoring. I don't think I've heard a cat snore before. Kinda cute, actually.
14. The Phillies won today. :-) Looking forward to going to the game on 6/20. :-)
