Yeah, it would be great to head on out to Las Vegas. However, my parents wish to restrict my travel down to areas where family is in the vicinity. And, well, as far as I know, I don't even have family out WEST, let alone Vegas. No one in the family travels out west with the thought of permanency on the brain. It's not really that we die, it's jus that we're...not heard from again.(Family History: In 1832, two brothers, Robert and Thomas Eastham immigratred to the United States from England. Robert staked a claim in the small farm town of Cicero, while Thomas headed west, with thoughts of a farm and family, in Wisconsin (okay, it's not the west now, but back then it was). Thomas was never heard from again.)
The only real exception is Montreal. My dad has a business convention there every summer, so he'll be working all day while I try to occupy myself. But he has no need to worry about any shickle-grooberin on my part. The city is filled with French-Canadians. French-Canadians and I have a...gentle understanding of each other.
