I figured that after months of not writing in this thing--I should. So you want to know what's been going on? LOTS.
So this past two weekends ago I had tons of fun and went to ATF and saw Newsboys in concert. But, you know what, while that is exciting, I have seen them 5 times and it's almost the same everytime (only a bit better each time :D) Anyways the exciting part really isn't that. It was God.
My greatest fear in this world was my father, and because of that it was older men. But, through God's greatness, I have been freed from that fear and my faith is so much stronger. Through the spirit leading me in church I stopped and older woman named Joan who I had seen earlier have a hard time standing up and I prayed over her to be healed. First, before she stood she looked at Joey and I and told us that we were going to do something great one day. She said it so matter-of-fact that I just feel that the spirit of God took that and is going to do that with our lives. Anyways, she stood, and through our chatter and her tears she told us that her knees felt so much better.
YAY GOD!!!!!!!
Also I was talking to this kid named Tyler at work and I just looked at him, told him I valued his friendship, and asked if he knew where he was going when he died. He said he did, Hell, because he knew he was running from God. So for a half hour we just talked about God and our lives and how his abusive father who raised him in church was the one that turned him away from God. And who better to talk about that with but me (haha)? So I told him about my past situation with my dad and how God helped me get through that. And before he left to go back to work he said that he was searching. I told him that I was open for talking any time.
DOUBLE YAY GOD!!!!!!!
And Joey and I talked to his dad (finally I wasn't afraid to talk to him, all thanks to Jesus also, because I don't have that fear of men any longer!!! :D:D) and we figured that he is going to start his pilot training now while saving $60 a pay check for our honeymoon/future and I was going to save for the wedding. We also decided that as soon as we're married and honeymooned we are moving to whichever state or city he decides to get his Mission Pilot's training. That was advised to us by his father who didn't move far away from his family right after getting married and it was the worst thing he could have done he said. So, we are going to learn from his mistake and go far away, at least an hour. At most, Nepal...:D
