It wasn't the old beaten fishing boat that caught my eye, but the name that was on the side of it. You could tell the boat was over 50 years old. There wasn't a spot on the boat that didn't have rust. It had years of decay and was poorly taken care of. It was in pretty bad shape compared to at all the other boats that were on other docks. They weren't new, and not necessarily in the best shape possible, but you could tell this one was a lot older..therefore used a lot more then the other ones. It was set aside from all the other boats, stuffed in the corner of this bay inlet...so no one could see. As if this boat had served its purpose, and was now unwanted. Unattractive from all the rust and decay that was taking over. But the word stuck out. The rust hadn't taken over this part of the boat yet. The boats 'desire' was still strong, past its appearance and age. Life can take a toll on us, but our desires never go away. To some of us, it helps keep us going.
