I love birthdays - mine and others,even if it means that one more year is over.
My Father is 70ty in two days and we are in the middle of preparing 3-days feast: for close friends at home, for friends and for colleagues. We are discussing menu today and making funny calendars for guests. And then I have to finish lampshade for new dining-room. Busy :))
I just spent more than hour watching film about him on First channel - he is working on TV and as an author of documentary films for 50ty years, since his university days as physicist. I love his stories and for several years I try to write it down and may be even make a book.
