I THINK the icon is a picture of them, but it's too small for my old eyes to really get a look. Maybe I should just google them. *g*

No, the icon actually is a picture of vareniki (curd or fruit dumpling, according to the dictionary, but it's more like boiled patty), also very tasty, I'll post the recipe later.

I realized that wasn't coulibiac after I googled. The vareniki sound very tasty. =>}

They almost look like wontons. *g*

Thanks! It generally looks like that, but we usually use less decorations on the top, just plain or with, I don't know, couple of dots :-) But it's really tasty. I persuaded mom to make one tomorrow, so I'll try to take a picture ;-)

Ooo! I like the look of the second one! I have been known to decorate mincemeat pies for Christmas with pastry holly leaves and berries.

Do you ever add in any cheese or sausage to make a meal of one? =>}
