Yes, I'm still alive and well and living in S.F.

If I were to actually catch everyone up on what's been going on in my life, I'd have to write a 15 page post and that's NOT going to happen. If SOMEONE (and you know who you are :) hadn't *nudged* me to post this, I probably wouldn't be writing anything at all, but I can be a good monkey on occasion, if it makes my friends happy. ;) Don't know if this will encourage me to post more often, but it's a good possibility that since I've taken that *first-step* again, that I'll be more inclined to update my LJ on a more regular basis.

So last night I attended a space-specific DM class @ the S.F. Citadel, so that I can help out over there every now and then. After class, I went over to Drunken Monkey Lounge O' Theater to plan my birthday party, discuss arrangements for the playspace for Sadisco and have *a* drink. Instead, I wound-up doing shots with both the General Manager and one of the owners. So I spent the night on Randy's couch, as I wasn't OK to be driving anywhere. (Thank you Randy, for making your place available when I've had a little too much fun ;) However, I was successful with both of my tasks. My 34th birthday party will be held @ Drunken Monkey on Feb. 21st. It's an open party and everyone is invited, so if you can make it down, please join me. I'll be getting there around 10ish, as I'll be attending a single-tail class @ the SF Citadel from 8-10. Hopefully, Steve Washington & Hicksmokey will be spinning @ Drunken Monkey for at least part of the evening, but as of right now, Nurse Glitch is scheduled and since it took a few months to get her booked-in in the first place, the odds of her rescheduling probably aren't too high. Not sure what movie will be showing yet, although I'm leaning toward Cannibal! the Musical. I do know that it will be a Troma film, just haven't decided which one. As for Sadisco, I got clearance from both the GM and one of the owners, to open-up the upstairs for use as the playspace. There had been some consternation as to whether or not they could afford the extra staff for the upstairs, but I mentioned that my pulling double-duty of DM and security wouldn't be a problem, unless we're PACKED, at which point we could afford another guard anyway, so Patrick ok'd it and I have a brand spankin' new playspace for a brand spankin' new club. For those of you who may not know, I was promoted from security to DM of San Francisco's longest running weekly Fetish Club, Bondage-a-Go-Go, back in October. Hawk has retired after 11 1/2 years of running the playspace and it is an honor and a privilege to be named his successor. I'll also be running the playspace for our monthly Prime-Time event, Sadisco, every 4th Saturday.

The Black Widows are performing upstairs @ Bondage-a-Go-Go from 10-11 tonight, so I can't even really set-up the playspace until they're finished. This should be interesting. We'll see how it all works out, since this is going to be the first time we've done this. I really like my new playspace arrangement @ the Glas Kat, although a friend mentioned that I should put-up a screen of some type, even if only a small one, so that it gives the illusion to those that are watching, that they're watching something they weren't invited to, which will make them want to watch even longer. I think it's a great idea and makes perfect sense - I just have to find the right screen at the right price.

My room is infested with ants coming in from the rain. It wouldn't be so bad, really, but they're all over my computer desk and walking under/over my keyboard and they occasionally crawl on my hands and they like to bite :( I'd kill them, but I've seen the Cockroach Vignette from Creepshow and I really don't want them to take revenge and kill me, so I think I'll just let them be... ;)
