rude sales people

Today I went to the mall to return three pieces of jewelry to Tiffanys that I got as graduation presents.. and the sales person and manager working were SOO rude to me. The sales person began by telling me my jewelry was scratched and I had worn it, I'm like no.. I've never worn it. She responded with "this jewelry has been worn" ughh it was so frustrating when the saleperson is trying to tell me what I did. She would never have spoken to me like that if I was with one of my parents instead of my sister. She didn't want to return my stuff and she was telling me there was scratches and she wouldn't be able to resell it. I wasn't taking no for an answer, because I live 3 hours from a tiffanys and I had receipts for everything so she ended up getting her manager and he was like to me "girls think they can wear the jewelry then try to return it but we notice the scratches and they can't"

I was soo fucking pissed and I told both the sales people that I had never worn their fugly tacky jewelry (nicely hah) and they finally let me return it. The manager finished off with "ill let u return it but I'm going to have to eat it (wtf?) because I can't sell it" pshhh whatever

I was polite the entire time despite how rude they were being to me. But I am posting because I want to hear about times where you were treated like shit just because of your age or how you were dressed. I'm 17 and I was in the store with my sis (19) and a friend (17) and I was dressed pretty sloppy in a triblend american apparel sweatshirt and white AA shorts but I had nice shoes on and a nice purse. To me though, I really don't think someones age or what brand of clothes they wear is grounds to treat someone differently then you would a normal customer. UGH I'm so frusturated I'm posting from my phone on my 3 hour drive home. Sooo let's hear the stories!!

Also- if anyone here works at tiffanys- what do u do with return stuff? Thanks :)
