A Breath of Fresh Air

May 12, 2004 04:16

I finally have a moment to breath in all the air that you have exhaled. I finally have a second to recap all of the fears that I dismissed. I finally have the time to empathize with you in your tragic sorrow. I nearly never saw what was beyond my veil of doubt; outside my circle of trust. I almost always dream in metaphors; speak in similes. I can't concentrate on what it is that you have said, because I still can't find the words to erase all the madness, all the pain, all the sorrow. All I can do for you is walk with you down that long forgotten road; show you all the reasons why it is worth the effort to shuffle off this lugubrious cloak and unmask that tear stained visage.
Come away with me to land where all dreams come true--no wishes left behind. I'll show you the true meaning of friendship and trust. You'll never doubt--for a second--my intentions. We'll romp with our hopes of yesteryear, and rendez-vous with things yet-to-come. We'll meet up with emotions unchartered, and voyage with our passions unsung. And, though, neither of us knows what lies beyond the mists of the night, I can assure you there is happiness within the dew of the morning sunlight.

*This goes out to my best friend (cause she needs some love).
