Going-ons (Goings-on??)

Alors, recent happenings:

Sunday was MY BIRTHDAY! Twas much fun, if I do say so myself. :P The big ONE-FIVE! It's so weird to be thinking that next year I'll be 16. I mean, I guess it's not so much of a big deal now that it's almost here, but to me, as a little girl, it was when I'd be all grown-up, you know? What a horrible media-message, hahaha. We went to dinner at The Melting Pot, a super uber-cool fondue restaurant, opened presents there, ate too much, and came home to watch PRINCESS MONONOKE!! I got it from Popojijo. :) I think the best present, though, was the picture I got of Mumu and me at Central Park on Halloween. It's really sweet. :) :) :) :) :) I also received three SUPERB colouring books (funky designs, fairies, Harry Potter!!), a manicure and pedicure from my dear Uncle Tim, two rather superb baking books from my wonderful godmother and Sarah, Mostly Martha (one of my favourite movies), AND A CAKE DECORATING COURSE!! Six classes, starting the week I get back to school!!! I'm SOOO excited (obviously). And lastly, Mum said we could choose a sewing project to do together, so we went to Hancock Fabrics and picked out an outfit/fabric for Josh's bar-mitzvah (sp?). If we can finish on time, it should be rather nice. :)

Monday I went to see A Series of Unfortunate Events with Dad, and we stopped by Best Buy and MicroCenter afterwards. I wanted to buy Green Day's American Idiot, but it was Parental Advisory, so he said we'd "discuss it" first. Bleh. Basically, the rest of the week was reading my new Lemony Snicket book, eating, and watching movies. Urgh. Well, at least last night I got out of the house, right? Mom and I went to Panera, got tea, and sat there reading by the fire until Panera closed. It was wonderful. Later today is the "get together" with the Wises. I like them a lot, don't get me wrong, it's just that I wanted to spend New Year's with friends. Ok, Mary Kate's my friend, and Beth and Emma kinda, but that's three people. And then their little brothers. And all of our parents. Well, I'll make the best of it and quit my whining! : P

Love to all,

Anna (aka: Girl With Pigtails)
P.S.-- as of yesterday, I CAN PUT MY HAIR UP! Not that I will, and I'll probably cut it soon anyway, but...
