grown-up stuff
I've desperately been wanting to buy a house lately.
However, I am useless when it comes to wrapping my head around things like "downpayment," "mortgage," "remortgage," "interest rate" and the like.
I can't even do my own taxes--I admitted, with my face in hands, to a co-worker that I just hand all the receipts to my parents' accountant for easy processing.
Then he told me to stop hiding my face 'cause he does the same.
Poor us ... like so many of our generation ... blessed and cursed because our parents wanted it to be easier for us.
